🕌 Community Engagement at Redbridge Islamic Centre

On 20 September 2026, PCSO Naz and PCSO Martin were delighted to attend an Open Day at Redbridge Islamic Centre, 28-28a Woodford Avenue IG2 6XG Gants Hill.

We received a warm welcome from the community leaders and members and were given a tour of the mosque. It was a great opportunity to learn more about the mosque, its practices and the important role it plays within the local community.

We also engaged with local children and young people, speaking to them about personal safety and how the police are here to support them. We introduced community members to Met Engage and explained how they can register to receive local policing updates.

It was fantastic to see such a positive response from members of the public, who were pleased to see their local policing team engaging with the community.

Events like this are extremely important in helping us build trust, strengthen relationships and increase confidence in local policing.
